    • Refined Grains  – Refined grains undergo milling process that separates the bran and germ. The process gives a subtle texture to the grain and improves their shelf life. Ex. White flour, cornmeal, and white rice.

As per dietician consumption of about 3 – 8 ounces of grains give the best results. The requirement of grains varies with the age, gender, and level of physical activity. Grains are rich in nutrients like fiber, B vitamins (thiamin, riboflavin, niacin and folate) and minerals (iron, magnesium and selenium).
